In rural Afghanistan, people make up stories to explain the world in which they live. The shepherd children play games: the boys fight the wolves, the girls smoke secretly and play at getting married.

Born in Tehran in 1990. Scriptwriter, director. Based in Kabul. Studied at Atelier Varan Kabul. Her short debut was shown at Directors’ Fortnight; “Wolf and Sheep” was developed with a Cannes Cinéfondation Residency.
